Empire State Medical, Scientific and Educational Foundation Executive Vice President, Frances Scott on the NAIRO Symposium
Over the last several years, I have been privileged to attend the NAIRO Annual Symposium, with my first event being the meeting held in San Antonio, Texas. Each year, the Symposium offers the highest quality of speakers and topics relevant to our industry. I have never left the Symposium not having learned something valuable. NAIRO works closely with URAC throughout the course of the year on changes and updates to the certification process. URAC has presented at each of the Symposiums I have attended offering the latest updates, changes, and revisions to the URAC standards which directly impact our members and anyone with a URAC accreditation or certification. NAIRO is also actively involved in legislative and regulatory changes impacting the industry and ensures the members are kept apprised of the changes throughout the year and at the Symposium. The small and intimate environment of the Symposium offers the opportunity for great networking with peers and colleagues, as well as interaction with the speakers and vendors. While I attended the first Symposium solo, I now bring additional staff members so that they can interact with and learn from some of the best industry experts in the country. Finally, I have met some my closest business contacts, mentors, and friends at these NAIRO events. The very low cost of this Symposium is far exceeded by the quality of the entire event.
